The Pie

My Grandparents started this awesome tradition they call "The Pie". I have recently learned that it was my Grandpa's parents who started it and we love it! The "pie" is constructed out of a plastic bowl covered in wrapping paper with strings coming out of the top. On the end of each string is a name; everyone has a tag. On the other end hidden in the bowl is a number which corresponds with a present hidden anywhere in the house. On the count of three we yank out our number and run like mad to find our numbered present. The catch is that present is not yours to keep. The name of the person it goes to is revealed under the number. I found my present on the pull out cabinet drawer in the kitchen behind all the cereal whereas my Mom was told she would "never find it without being told". This proved to be true as hers was hidden in the garbage under real garbage. My Grandparents are pretty crafty I tell ya!

We also do a book exchange between the cousins and Ben had me once again this year. Sorry Ben! When I opened this I thought he was trying to tell me something; the card was hidden inside. Clever boy.

Ruger is huge! He is the sweetest, giant bear of a dog.

That is also Mt Dew chapstick Adam is holding. My Grandma told us later that when she saw it she just had to get it for him. Haha!
