Patience

*Patience (or forbearing) is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is the level of endurance one can take before negativity. It is also used to refer to the character trait of being steadfast.

I have never been good at patience. It has been only 6 months since our adoption profile has been up and I feel like it has been 6 years. We are keeping busy, and have a lot of fun things going on. Though it is small, there is a piece of me that threatens to overwhelm myself with doubt. Maybe it's all the adorable, brand new babies at church, or listening to people talk of how they didn't want kids but wham-o they're having triplets (exaggeration I know) or whatever. This line especially struck me: Patience is the level of endurance one can take before negativity. Huh. I never thought of it that way. It isn't about the challenges themselves but how we react to them right? Right. Life is good and awesome things are waiting for us. Happy Valentine's everyone.

  3. I don't think anyone blames you for being overwhelmed and not wanting to wait. I think everyone in your situation would feel exactly the same. It basically sucks! I hope something works out for you soon :)

  4. :( I'm sorry. It does suck. I can promise you that when it works out, you will forget how frustrating this time was and it will all be TOTALLY WORTH IT! It will work out. For some reason some of us have to practice that 'p' word a lot. If you need to vent you can always email me or call.
