The Baird's go to Portland

When our plans to go to Lake Powell fell through I made the spontaneous decision to drive to Portland to see the Alba's. Best decision I have ever made. Poor Dex thought he was coming with us.
P.S. I am physically incapable of condensing these pictures so make yourself comfy.

We stopped in Pendleton, OR for the night and the Element could not have provided a more comfy night.

See Hood there? It was a gorgeous drive.

Out and about in Sellwood.

Had lunch at 'Zenbu' where the fish tacos were to die for,

We had a lot of good food..

We visited Powell's Books downtown which is nicknamed the 'City of Books'. It was enormous, and awesome. Brian Froud - his work was the inspiration for the creatures in the Labyrinth. Very cool.

Playing at the dog park on the Willamette River blocks from the Alba's. This turned into a very wet, muddy day.

The Lilliput! Totally and completely Portlandia-esque.

Nicco loved us. Can't say I blame her.

Nicco's growth chart.. See that gap between 6 and 8 weeks? She is gonna be BIG I am thinking.

We went on an adventure to Sauvie Island. It is a huger, organic farm where you can pick your own produce. It was delicious and beautiful.

A terrible picture of Treesh's work..

Of course we played Michael Jackson on the WII.

This is at the grocery store; Portland is very very dog friendly.

Breakfast at Jam. I'm sure I gained 5 pounds at thius place alone.

On our way to the Portland Saturday market.

Voodoo doughnuts! The line was literally down the street so we settled for pictures.

I love close ups of Trish- how can you not love that face?!

We took Erin here for her birthday dinner. It is in downtown and the food, atmosphere and company could not be beat.

The trip wrapped up with a surprise birthday bash for Erin.

Complete with a homemade apple pie from Mama Jo.

Happy birthday big sister!!
