FSA Conference

This weekend was the National Families Supporting Adoption Conference in Layton. It was a very packed two days with lots of different classes you could choose from. My favorites were the panels. We heard every angle of the adoption process from birthmothers, adoptive couples, even birthgrandmothers. It was really eye opening to hear each of their unique stories and gave us a better understanding of what to expect. We felt pretty lucky that we didn't have to travel very far as we saw people from Cali, Wyoming, Washington, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho and Colorado. We're both pretty exhausted from all the info we're still processing through but overall we learned a lot of really great stuff and are excited to be moving right along!
I have also started and almost finished our adoption blog and know how we want to set up our pass along cards. Now we need to finish our collage scrapbook and there's one more class next Saturday we need to attend. After that we wait to be approved by our caseworker. We're gettin close!

  2. I am so excited for you guys! All that work but it really is TOTALLY worth it. I've seen the miracle of adoption in many families out here and it brings me such joy to see how it blesses everyone involved. Good luck to you both!

  3. I'm sad we weren't there to see you! Jason had his wedding open house Friday night so. We couldn't go to the conference. :(
